Energy efficiency in the beverage and food sector

17/06/2019

Aitesa will carry out some engineering services and will supply a forced circulation water tube boiler behind glass furnaces in order to cover all the load variations during the useful years of the furnace.

The recovery boiler consists of an economizer and a vaporizer working with forced circulation on the steam drum. This boiler will take advantage of the thermal energy contained in the fuel gas of the Verallia factory in Burgos, to cover part of the steam consumption of the adjacent factory of Mahou San Miguel and will generate the saturated steam of 8000 Kg/h at 180ºC and 12 barg to the cogeneration plant in Mahou-San Miguel.

This project can help to reduce energy consumption and costs, optimize energy use in the food and beverage processing industry.
