AITESA is participating in the largest maintenance shutdown at the Repsol Refinery in Cartagena, improving the energy efficiency in the Topping, Hydrocracking and Desulfurization Units.

The company has designed, supplied and is now in the phase of assembling of three new air preheaters in the existing heat recoveries that will increase the operating efficiency of the heaters. Due to these projects, an annual saving of 4,482 tons of CO2 is estimated.

These units have undergone regular maintenance work, but it is now that they have been stopped simultaneously in order to make improvements that will increase the safety and the energy efficiency of the equipments.
